Film photographer and artist, Rosa Maria de los Heros is interested in curating sensations through photographs.  Once, somebody asked her “Is this a beautiful photograph or the photograph of something beautiful?” This distinction fueled her to create her own subjects to photograph. Through her artistic practice, Rosa Maria constructs new realities using mirrors and water.  She has chosen these elements as go-to tools because they are versatile and allow her to manipulate the colors and textures they reflect.  These materials help see what is behind her, next to her, and in front of her at the same time. By having several planes to work around with, she registers what she likes from each plane and flattens them out in an image.  This process could be described as a multi dimensional collage in real time with no scissors or glue.
